DuraFlex ™ Flexible Partial Dentures

Patients are looking for more esthetics options in restorative applications and flexible dentures are a comfortable and durable option. The transparent material is designed to blend with both the tooth and tissue to virtually disappear in the mouth. DuraFlex ™ is a biocompatible material that can be designed as a partial denture, unilateral or in combination a chrome casting where minimal undercuts are present. This advanced thermoplastic material does not absorb moisture making it stain and odour resistant. For best results we recommend an alginate impression and a minimum of 4mm interocclusal space in the posterior region. Contraindications include bilateral free-end distal extensions on the maxilla with extreme atrophy of the alveolar ridges or deep overbite cases of 4mm or more.

 
 

Cast Chrome Partial Dentures

Pow was pleased to be one of the first Canadian laboratories to integrate CAD/CAM technology into the design of our cast partial denture frames. With this technology, our technicians scan and create a digital design. Using leading software we can achieve precise thickness, contours, fit and longevity of our frameworks without compromising fit or comfort. The design is then printed and cast in Bego Wironium Plus® chrome alloy. Wironium Plus® is high purity alloy that offers both technical and aesthetic results with every casting.

 
 

Partial Denture Clasping Options

Pow Laboratories offers a full line of clasping options to provide your patient with the most comfortable secure denture possible without compromising esthetics. With the materials available today you can select from a wide variety of options. A combination of clasps can be used to ensure patient satisfaction. Traditional metal clasps including wrought wire, stainless steel and gold are available in single and double-arm. Nickel Ticonium clasping can be used with our cast chrome partial frameworks.

For a more esthetic option, you can choose from Silicone Gaskets, Versacryl, Acetal Resin, VisiClear® and DuraFlex™ clasps.

  • Silicone Gaskets are an elastomeric silicone material which clasps the neck of the natural tooth.

  • VisiClear® clasps are a flexible plastic esthetic option. Monomer and nylon free, strong and stain resistant.

  • Acetal resin clasps are available in limited tooth-coloured acrylic shades. Designed to engage the first third of undercut, placed more gingivally.

  • DuraFlex™ clasps are a thermoplastic flexible material that is easily adjusted and polished.

  • Versacryl® is a clear acrylic clasp design that allows the natural colour of the tooth to show thorough.
